QNET Adds New Face To The Family

Joseph Bismark, the Managing Director of the QI Group, has recently announced the company’s newest brand ambassador, according to reports on BusinessWire; tennis champion Martina Hignis is officially the newest ambassador for QNET, the leading direct sales company. The announcement came on September 18th at the Hamdan Sports Arena in Dubai, during the V-UAE. In front of over 10,000 attendees, Martina Hignis announced her intent on working with QNET alongside Joseph Bismark.

Independent representatives of QNET gather at a yearly convention to meet, learn and celebrate as a group at the V-Con, a convention held by The-V. This year’s V-UAE was also the 17 year anniversary of QNET. The leadership at QI Group knew the best way to celebrate was by adding a new face to the QNET team.

Martina Hingis is a world-famous tennis champion. She is a five-time Grand Slam winner as well as the Global Ambassador for the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Her newest accomplishment and title of Brand Ambassador was one that she received proudly from Joseph Bismark. “It’s a great honour to be associated with a global brand like QNET whose presence in more than 100 countries speaks volumes of its strength and popularity,” Hingis said. Hingis joins the list of QI Group’s sports sponsorships. Past brand ambassadors include the Marussia Formula 1 team and the Manchester City Football Club.

It is planned for Martina Hingis to represent QNET in India. She is also intended for various competitions sponsored by QNET while playing for the Champions Tennis League. Her role in expanding the brand will involve wearing QNET branded apparel as she competes as well as endorsing products.

Bold Prediction From Tesla CTO on Affordable Renewable Power

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and chairman of SolarCity, is betting on solar energy and battery technology in a big way. Solar energy certainly does seem like a safe bet in the long run. The technology for solar cells and their efficiency keeps advancing relentlessly. His investment in Lithium-ion battery technology is evident as Tesla Motors is building an enormous factory in Nevada that will be devoted to building batteries. They have purchased 3,000 acres and the $5 billion plant will start churning out batteries, both for electric cars and larger models for homes, businesses and utilities, by late next year.

The chief technology officer of Tesla, JB Straubel, spoke at a solar energy conference in San Francisco recently. In his talk, he predicted that battery prices will fall faster than expected and that the combination of solar power and batteries for backup to run home and business power needs when the sun is not shining will combine to offer everyone cheaper electricity in about 10 years than we currently get from fossil fuels. The big selling point of renewables such as wind and solar has been that they are good for the environment. However, the thought that they will someday be cheaper as well will certainly only spur growth in this sector even faster. With the construction of its so-called ‘gigafactory’ in Nevada, Tesla will have a leg up on any competition as we head into a brave new world of far more electric vehicles on the roads and many more homes and businesses powered by solar panel arrays with batteries for backup.

Tesla will also be unveiling its Model 3 car early this coming year. This should help bring electric cars with an impressive range from a single charge down to the level where average people can afford them. Getting the price point of clean energy to where it is accessible to the masses is the key to getting renewable energy widespread enough to start making a real impact on the environment. It will be wonderful to live in a world where no one needs to feel guilty about wasting energy because, except for raising their own electric bill, they won’t be hurting anyone else.
